Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.2% in Mar 3–Tue, 6.5% from Jan 1
MOSCOW, Mar 12 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation amounted to 0.3% between March 3 and Tuesday and reached 6.5% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement Thursday.
Annual inflation kept flat on the week at 16.7%.
Frozen fish prices rose 1.2% on the week, while beef, meat preserves, sunflower oil, margarine, pasta, wheat, rice, tea and sweets became 0.7-0.8% pricier.
Sugar prices fell 0.6%, pork, poultry, buckwheat and egg prices declined 0.1-0.2%.
Vegetable prices rose 0.3% on average.
Gasoline prices grew 0.1% while diesel fuel ones fell 0.1%
The Economic Development Ministry’s forecast for Russia’s 2015 inflation currently stands at 12.2%.
